Nowadays everyone is thinking about there pocket book before spending a lot of money.  Spending over $1000 on designer handbags that were over $1000 were not unusual.  A lot of these bags were the trend and were made from leather and canvas from Coach, Prada, Guchi.  Okay, that fad has come and gone. Women always want the best for their money, but spending that kind of money these days is hard to swallow. So what's a girl to do?

We need to start exploring new options that are less expensive.  Before you purchase a new handbag you should think about these four points first.

Price
Price is typically most importantly is that this type of purse is approximately a quarter of the price. No longer do you have to spend big bucks, you can now find great styles for less than hundred dollars. That's a big difference and will allow you spend the rest of your money on other accessories.

Washable
Fabric handbags are machine washable. How many times have you spilled something on your bag and never been able to get the stain out? We've all experience this and wanted to cry remembering how much money we spent of that other type of purse. These bags can be thrown in the washer and then touched up with an iron and they'll look brand new.

Style
Fabric handbags have far more options to style and color than leather or canvas purses. That's because fabric can take on any color, or screen print providing the designer an endless amount of options to choose from. Whereas leather can only be dyed and normally just one color. This allows for much more modern styles than older methods used by major manufacturers. Also, with all of the colors the fabric can take on it's much easier to match and complement your outfit that you're going to wear for the day.

Humane
Fabric is much more humane to animals. With fabric an animal doesn't have to lose its life just so we can use it hide. No matter where you are on the animal rights, when given the choice between using an animal or not, I think most of us would choose the life of the animal when there are substitutes that can be found. Lastly, many of the designers are now eco friendly as well using recycled materials from junk yards, thrift shops, and second hand stores. Some designers are even using parts out of old cars, like the headlines or seat belts as the base material for their bags. Not only are these material eco friendly, they are cheap or even free. This saves our landfills and allow you to go green everywhere you go.

All women love fabric hanbags and in fact, no women will dare to leave the house without one clinging to their body. A purse is both functional and stylish. You can put all your things in one convenient place while making it as an accessory piece all at the same. If you try to walk to different boutiques and stores, you will see not just hundreds of purses but tons of them making it so hard for you to decide which one is best for your needs. They are all lined up according to style, color, function, form, quality and even prices. When shopping for a purse, all that glam and beauty should be considered but only to some extent, there are rules you need to follow. Remember that a women's purse is both used for its function and beauty so follow these rules to avoid major disasters.

1. Determine the occasion - before you shop and hop to different stores wandering how beautiful you will be on that purse, you need to determine first the occasion. Ask yourself first why you will be buying one. Many women buy purse for different occasions such as:
- Wedding purposes
- Work and professional use
- Daily casual use
- Night outs and party purposes
- Or you just feel buying one for yourself

Remember that a purse will serve not just a bag alone but for beautification purposes as well. Buying a floral purse for daily use is okay but can you imagine wearing it with your slacks and trousers? You need to match the occasion with your purse so that things will greatly blend with each other not creating unlikely contrasts.

2. Season of the year - many women just love to buy purse as an important piece of accessory to their wardrobe. Make sure that you choose a purse that matches the current season of the year. Spring can be a great time to buy purses because designs are more lively and soothing to the eyes. There are also purse styles and colors associated with the current season of the year. So if you wanted to buy one hot flaming orange floral purse, don't expect it to be on shelves during winter.

3. Use of the bag - you also need to consider the use of the bag. If you are great mom that often put diapers and bottles on the bag, an elegant small women's purse will not be suitable for your needs. Remember not to buy purses that are too small for your things or you will end up breaking up the stitches.

Buying a women's purse is most of the time challenging and quit confusing. With all those colors and designs to choose from, selecting the right one for your needs might not be as easy as counting one two and three. By following these tips, you can prevent buying unwanted purses by making sure that each item you purchase meets your requirements big time.
